Natural Language Models

David MacKay is a Reader in the Department of Physics at Cambridge University. He obtained his PhD in Computation and Neural Systems at the California Institute of Technology. His interests include machine learning, reliable computation with unreliable hardware, the design and decoding of error correcting codes, and the creation of informationefficient human-computer interfaces. He is the inventor of Dasher, a record-breaking text entry system that is especially well-suited to gaze interaction. He is author of "Information Theory, Inference, and Learning Algorithms".

David MacKay will be talking about language statistics from 9:00 to 10:00 at The IT University of Copenhagen, Auditorium 4 on Wednesday 1.
