About me
I am an Associate Professor at DTU Compute in the Section for Cognitive
Systems at the Technical University of Denmark.
I am also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, UK.
Research interests
- (Bayesian) machine learning - including deep learning
- Planning/sequential decision-making under uncertainty (using principles from reinforcement learning, including Bayesian optimisation)
- Generative modelling and representation learning
- Bayesian non-parametrics (in particular Gaussian processes)
- Uncertainty quantification in scientific inquiry
- Applications include: Audio processing/modelling, protein modelling (graphs and molecular simulation/sampling), (image-based) single cell profiling in biology
