Running PET

When the PET working directory is properly set up (check requirements), PET modules can be run either stand-alone or by just giving the command:

pet unitName

The command produces the following files in the working directory:

  • a list of the nodes (file [mon]) monitored by COMPASS sim.
  • the reference capacitance-node (file [cap]).
  • the reference cell's output-node (file [acn]).
  • the reference label-node (file [lab]).
  • the transitions table file [trn].
  • power dissipation computation table (file [calpot])
  • result (file [power])

In order to know the contributes of the sub-blocks, PET post-processing modules are run by giving the command:

post_pet unitName

Note that an additional file, unitName.inst is required.

The command produces the file [rep] in the working directory, and [calpot] and [power] files for each sub-block in the indicated sub-directory.
