AIM OF THE MEETING :
Shear flows are observed to form spontaneously in low frequency electrostatic plasma turbulence. These flows have a strong influence of the linear stability properties of the modes that drives the turbulence. Generally it is argued that the shear flows act stabilizing. The aim of this meeting is:

Discussions of different theoretical models for the self-consistent generation of shear flows in plasma turbulence.
Discussions of the influence of the shear flow on the linear stability properties of, in particular Rayleigh-Taylor type instabilities.
