Projects from January 2012 for course

02321 Hardware/Software Programming

The projects are presented in the order that resulted from the project competition that was held at the end of the course. The projects are presented with a large audience in mind so they focus on the end result rather than how the students got there. All the groups have created their own computer and an application that runs on their own computer. For more information see the course description video.

At the end of the course an Open House event was organized, where anybody that wanted to see the projects done by the students during the 3 weeks period was welcomed. The event had a bit over 100 participants (out of which 35 were the students that have attended the course). Here are some pictures taken during the event. During the open house event each participant got a voting ticket where they could select the top 3 projects that they liked (in the order of preference). Since the voting was opened to an audience with varied backgrounds it should be seen as a popularity contest of the various projects implemented by the students. This has nothing to do with the academic evaluation that the teacher has to do to evaluate the projects. After counting the 99 votes expressed these are the results obtained by the projects:

1. Mice Maze – 404 points <= Group Photo, Poster (Eng), Project presentation video (Eng), Gameplay video
2. LC3PO - 384 points <= Group Photo, Poster (Eng), Project presentation video (Dan), Gameplay video
3. Joust - 288 points <= Group Photo, Poster (Dan), Project presentation video (Dan), Gameplay video
4. Snake - 264 points <= Group Photo, Poster (Eng), Project presentation video (Eng), Gameplay video

NOTE: Some of the posters and videos are in English and some are in Danish. I've written (Eng) in the places where English is used and (Dan) where Danish is used.
