Mobile applikationer. Mobile tekonlogier. Kontekst bestemte
systemer. Menneske-Maskine Interaktion.
Jakob Eg Larsen (JEL) forsker i mobile applikationer og
teknologier, samt deres anvendelse i forhold til håndtering af
personlig information og digitale medier. Hovedvægten er på mobile
og kontekst-baserede systemer og personaliserede brugergrænseflader
med henblik på forbedret interaktion mellem menneske og maskine.
Jakob Eg Larsen forsker i mobile systemer. Mobile platforme
såsom mobiltelefoner bliver kraftigere og mere avancerede for hvert
år. Hvordan kan vi bruge disse resourcer til at lave bedre
løsninger i virksomheder, for individet og i underholdning? Mobile
applikationer og teknologier indgår i stigende grad i forhold til
håndtering af personlig information og anvendelse af digitale
medier i sociale netværk. Fælles for disse områder er at de
benytter viden om brugerens aktuelle kontekst for at forstå
brugeren for derigennem at skabe personaliserede
brugergrænseflader. Dette med henblik på at forbedre interaktion
mellem menneske og maskine i mobile og kontekst-baserede systemer.
Jakob Eg Larsen er lektor ved DTU Informatik (IMM). Han er uddannet
datalog fra Københavns Universitet 1999 og PhD fra Danmarks
Tekniske Universitet 2005. Han står for
MILAB (Mobile Informatics
Lab) laboratoriet ved Sektionen for Kognitive Systemer på DTU
Informatik. Laboratoriet indgår i forskning og undervisning
indenfor områderne mobile kontekst-bestemte systemer, medie
modellering, samt bruger-interaktion og oplevelser.
