A candidate with a master degree in engineering or science can apply for a PhD grant at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Deadlines for applications are twice a year. Mid-April for start September 1 and mid-October for start February 1. The procedure is as follows:
- The candidate must find a suitable supervisor at DTU, within the subject of his/her interest. You may search among the departments for potential supervisors.
- The supervisor and the candidate submit an application to the department at which the supervisor is employed. Typically the supervisor knows the applicant from previous studies at DTU, but this is not mandatory. The supervisor takes care of all formalities in connection with an application.
- Supervisors may have external funding for PhD studies. In this case candidates can apply directly to the funding holder.
