The Computer Systems Engineering Programme at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a programme aimed at international students who wish to study Computer Systems Engineering on an advanced level.
The aim of the Computer Systems Engineering Programme is to educate highly qualified engineers capable of developing complex systems consisting of both hardware and software. The Computer Systems Engineering Programme contains topics from both the traditional electrical engineering and computer science curricula.
The programme is a full time MSc degree programme, which started in 1998 and was open for international students until September 2006. The programme duration is 2 years. The international students study together with Danish students, and teaching is in English. Candidates will be awarded the MSc degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
Computer Systems Engineering
Computer Systems Engineering deals with development of the key infrastructure of modern society: Computing components, software or hardware, and the combination into complex systems. Such IT components form the computing platform, the application software as well as the embedded system software, supporting the execution of the application.
Professional design of complex IT systems, under industrial conditions, requires skilled engineers, capable of handling the interplay between a number of constraints. Engineers who are well versed in both the hardware and software disciplines.
Studies at DTU are flexible and allow the intrepid student to craft his or her education. The Computer Systems Engineering studies allows you to specialize into different areas such as:
- Safe and Secure IT-Systems
Modern, professional IT-Systems are constructed using formal logical methods and representations for modelling problems. The specialization will provide you with theoretically and technologically well-founded methods, tools and techniques for designing, implementing, and validating safe and secure IT-systems.
- Systems-on-Chip Design
Intelligent products, based on the combination of software and hardware components, are rapidly changing our lives. Systems are created combining the design of complex digital integrated systems, Systems-on-Chip, with integration of hardware and software components into Embedded Systems.
