| To introduce the participants to 3D imaging and image analysis techniques used in assessment of farm animals with respect to growth and slaughter parameters. |
| Learning objectives: | | A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to: | - describe current standards for farm animal imaging
- describe 3D imaging techniques for farm animal imaging
- describe the concepts for 3D image registration
- de acquinted with the current state-of-the-art in 3D imaging of farm animals
| Content:
| In a series of lectures by invited COST action speakers (Chris Glasbey,Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland) and Paul Allen, Teagasc), local speakers (Tron Darvann, University of Copenhagen, Koen Van Leemput, Mads Fogtmann, DTU) the elemenst of 3D imaging farm animals including image acquisition, image registration, image segmentation is covered. Basic methods is introduced and advanced methods are illustrated. |
