I am very pleased to inform that Jens Sparsø today has been appointed as "Docent" (Professor).
The "Docent" post is given to DTU employed associate professors who have accomplished a quite special and significant effort within teaching and education. It is a condition that the associate professor has had an essential scientific production at international level.
In 2006 DTU has recommended only 5 associate professors, "who, to a quite special extent meet the demands". There were 39 applicants for the 5 posts.
